Technology in education

Hello everyone, I am Shpetim Xhaferi, this is my first blog post and I am very happy and enthusiastic that I have the opportunity to share my thoughts and opinions with each one of you my dear friends and colleagues. When I first came across with the subject of technology, I had no idea what we were going to do in these classes and I was confused but excited at the same time. Why do I say confused? For a simple reason, because it is the first time in my academic life to have technology as a subject .On the other hand I was excited because as everything unknown and mysterious we all have the curiosity to get in it, to know more about it .These mixed feelings made me think deeper for many things related to this subject, I thought and meditate about the importance, influence, impact that these classes will have on me in all aspects of my overall development, as a student now and as a teacher in the future. Therefore to be clear, technology as a term and phenomenon is worldwide spread and in a way or another maybe everyone has access, but studying it and getting more involved, this is something new for many people and for me as well. Nowadays we all use technology for different and specific reasons, I like to call technology as “ the lover or friend” that never cheats you because you may have fun and entertain, find every kind of information that you are interested, you  can work as well ,etc..

Meanwhile when I referr that by using  technology we can work, the perfect examples are blogs, many successful bloggers instead of fame and popularity also have good profits , generating a considerable amount of money.

This subject seems to be very interesting and helpful for us and is on the cards that everyone who has the chance to be part of it, is going to have many benefits. My expectations are very high, seeing the schedule of subject, assignments or projects; that’s why taking all advantages that offers the technology in general probably is going to help us a lot to implement it in our daily teaching. The current situation, when the all world is fighting with a terrible virus, global pandemic has influenced and in our teaching style. Concretely, if we look around, we will notice and see pupils and students having classes at home, in front of a smart device like computers or their smartphones, by using different platforms that their schools or universities have set for them. We all know that for countries like Albania, online courses are an experiment and only the time will show us for its success. As we are addicted to technology we should start using it for our good not only for fun ,or the worse, taking disadvantages that technology offers. Technology with education in general and teaching in special it seems that they are going to create a strong connection and at a short time may be “inseparable”.

  1. What I find most interesting in your work is that you mentioned an aspect of technology that so far we haven't acknowledged in our blogs and that is making money through technology, that is so true. Nowadays people depend on it to make a living and we can mention so many professions that need technology with the current situation we are in but not only that, also sharing knowledge and information and experiences.
